Life Portrait Films that preserve your voice, presence, and life story.

In My Life Studios guides you through the process of capturing your life story, creating a living portrait that reflects not only what you’ve lived, but your voice, expression, and the way those experiences have shaped your life.

You don’t only need reasons like illness or age to do this.

People in their early 50’s and 60’s choose to do this while their memory is sharp and stories are still unfolding. Not because they’re afraid time is short, but because they’re proud the life they’re living.

In My Life Studios is led by a filmmaker who guides these conversations with patience, care, and respect for the weight they carry. The process is designed to feel introspective and important.

Rather than leaving families to piece together scattered photos and phone videos later, our clients take responsibility for recording their story clearly — in their own words.

A thoughtful, guided session

We pay close attention to understand the person being filmed, their history, and what matters most to them. Filming usually takes place in a calm, familiar environment and moves at a natural, unhurried pace.

There is no script to memorize and no pressure to perform.

We gently guide the conversation, creating space for reflection, storytelling, and sincerity.

This experience is designed to feel meaningful — not exhausting or overwhelming.

The record that remains

Your Life Portrait Film is edited with care to preserve your voice, tone, and the subtleties in your body language.

The result is a lasting record your family can return to over time, carry forward, and share across generations.

The Process

  1. We talk.

  2. We record a guided conversation.

  3. You receive a finished film meant to last generations.

That’s it.

Life Portrait Film

$4,000

Each film begins with a dedicated, guided interview recorded in a single day.

The session is intentionally unhurried, allowing space for reflection, pauses, and presence—without watching the clock. Most conversations last between two and three hours and are shaped thoughtfully into a finished legacy film.

This includes:

  • One scheduled interview session

  • A calm, guided conversation

  • Professional filming, lighting, and audio

  • Editorial shaping into a finished film designed to last

  • Archival delivery of the finished film on an engraved USB drive

In some cases, photographs or personal artifacts may be incorporated directly into the conversation when they meaningfully support the story.

For projects that require multiple days, locations, or expanded production, custom documentary work is available by inquiry.

  • Often, the full value of a Life Portrait isn’t felt until much later.

Thanks to Jhovany’s compassion, professionalism, and dedication, we were able to capture my father’s essence in a way words alone can’t describe. What he gave us is truly priceless—a treasure that lets us hear my father’s voice and laughter, and revisit those moments whenever we miss him. It has brought us comfort, healing, and a lasting connection to the man we love.”

If this feels like the right time, the next step is a simple conversation.
